Versatile actor Kamal Haasan, who is known for trying out different looks on-screen, turns 60 today.

The ace actor entered into the film industry at a very young age and has completed 53 years now. 

The screenwriter, director, producer, playback singer, choreographer, lyricist and of course one of  the best actors ever known has won three National Awards, a Padma Shri, a Padma Bhushan and also holds a Guinness World Record for playing 10 roles in the film "Dasavatharam."

The actor has entertained the audience with his several avatars on silver screen. His debut film as a hero in "Apoorva Sagodharargal/Appu Raja", had him playing the character of a dwarf and he surprised viewers with his incredible performance.

The actor stole hearts with "Chachi 420", in which he played the role of an aged woman. From make-up to acting, Haasan justified the character with perfection.

Whether a role of a psychopath in "Abhay" or an accident survivor with scars and boils in "Anbe Sivam", the ace actor experimented with his looks in numerous ways and mesmerised the audience.

His award winning performance in "Dasavatharam", in which he essayed 10 characters, proves the versatility of the actor. Even his characters in "Vishwaroopam" left the audience in awe.

Haasan's will now be seen in different avatars in his upcoming films "Vishwaroopam 2", "Uttama Villian" and "Papanasam."
