Yogi wants to make people aware of CPM’s “misrule”

“There is no scope for political violence in a democracy but unfortunately Kerala, God’s own land, is witnessing politically sponsored violence,” Adityanath said.

“With this Yatra we will make people aware about the misrule of the CPM. People are also coming out in huge numbers in support of this,” he added.

The Yatra will travel through the state before culminating in Thiruvananthapuram on 17 October. Several Union ministers will also participate in the march under the theme of ‘All have to live! Against Jihadi-Red Terror’.

CPM rules out any alliance with Congress

As the BJP seeks to gain ground in Kerala, the Congress could be looking at big losses in the elections, says CNN-News18. An alliance would have been an option but The Hindu reports that at least the CPM will not be part of any such coalition.

On Monday, the CPM Polit Bureau overruled a proposal by a section of the party backed by general secretary Sitaram Yechury to amend the political line to ally with the Congress and other Opposition parties.

Amit Shah had told Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday that he had blood on his hands

BJP chief Amit Shah had lashed out at chief minister Pinayari Vijayan on Tuesday and accused the senior CPM member of being directly responsible for the violence, The Times of India had reported.

“The bloodstains of more than 120 BJP and RSS workers killed in political violence in Kerala are on your (Vijayan’s) clothes.
