Channel your stronger feminine side by warming up to fall's key trend - the classic stripes, which seem to be on acid this season. One look at the pap shots pouring into our inboxes, one can safely deduce that the fall winter canvas has Zebra marks splashed all over.

A few weeks ago, Shilpa Shetty Kundra was seen in a handwoven striped sari, Esha Gupta was seen teaming a colour blocked jumper with a pair of track-pants and Athiya Shetty had rocked the hell out of an off-shoulder striped top. This week Priyanka Chopra brought the traffic to a standstill at the airport as she arrived in a striped knee-length jacket. Stripes are classic and can never go out of style but they aren't for all body types.

Chic nautical vibes

Designer Nadine Dhody says, "Stripes look quite chic and I personally love the nautical vibe, which is having a moment right now, but it isn't for all the body types. If you pair a striped top and a pair of matching trousers, it adds to your height."

Adds length

Designer Aniket Satam seconds that. "They add an amazing length to any garment, it's always been a summer staple in terms of patterns and easy to carry. It's emerged as a fall winter staple and a closet essential. Also, it's season-less and no longer just a menswear staple."

A safe bet

Designer Arpita Mehta sees vertical stripes as a flattering print. "It's a safe bet. They help you colour block too," says she.
