The news of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan stepping in to politics has been welcomed by the resident down south. Their fans have a lot of hope from the two superstars since they feel that these two will be able to maker life better for them.
Though, both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have separate parties, the duo has been very cordial and supportive of each other. Just before hi political tour, Kamal Haasan was spotted outside Rajinikanth's Chennai residence on Sunday.
The said meeting further fuelled the speculations of the two actors-turned-politicians joining hands in politics. However, looks like that isn't the case after all. A report on The News Minute quoted Kamal as saying, "It is a courtesy call and not a political meet. I met him and told him about my decision. I am meeting people I like before I begin my journey. Meeting him is part of friendship, not about politics," the actor told the reporters post his meeting.
When quizzed about a possible tie-up, Kamal informed, "Only time will tell about us joining hands. The opportunity might come to meet national leaders in the future."
On the other hand, Rajinikanth too interacted with the media, post the meeting and said, "Kamal wants to serve the people of Tamil Nadu. I will pray to god that he will attain success." When Thalaiva was asked about joining hands with Haasan, he remarked, "My style and his are different even in movies."
Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have worked in several films together back in the 1970s and over all these years, they've maintained a healthy friendship. Both of them are immensely respected in the Tamil film industry. On Wednesday, Kamal Haasan is said to launch his party in Madurai.
