This Diwali, fans are geared up for Kodi starring Dhanush, Trisha and Anupama Parameshwaran. The annoucement for this project was made in August 2015, but the team reportedly began shooting only in Jan 2016. There has been a huge buzz around the movie, the trailer has already crossed 4 million views on YouTube. So what's about this movie that has got people talking? The biggest highlight of this movie is Dhanush's double role. Yes, he playing brothers Ambu and Kodi. While one is a professor, the other is a politician. Trisha and Dhanush are coming together for the first time

Trisha plays a negative character

For all those don't know, Shriya Saran was first approached for this role but she couldn't allot dates. Later, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was approached but she turned it down. Finally Trisha was signed on for the film! She plays a politican and form what it looks like, she will be a grey character.

Music is composed by Kabali composer

The music has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the man behind Kabali's amazing song Neruppu Da. In fact, Dhanaush has also rapped for one the songs. The songs are a perfect mix of soft, romantic and groovy, get-up-and-dance songs.

This is for the first time, Dhanush's Kodi is clashing with Karthi's Kaashmora. While one is a political drama, the other is a mythological fantasy.
