Dhanush looking for a big actor to play cameo in Amma Kanakku!

The family drama went on floors a few days ago

Actor Dhanush started out the year by starting work on the film Kodi. He also simultaneously began the shoot for Amma Kanakku around Pongal. The movie stars veteran actress Revathi and actress Amala Paul in lead roles. This family drama is going to be a remake of the Hindi film Nil Battey Sannata, which received a lot of critical acclaim. The Tamil remake of the movie is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who is a director with some credentials. Her last film, The New Classmate was very well received and she is also a protege of veteran director Mani Ratnam. Now, new news comes out from the sets of Amma Kanakku. Apparently Dhanush, whose production house Wunderbar films is financing this project, is looking for someone to play a crucial role in the family drama. The actor/producer is looking for a big star who will be willing to do a cameo in this Ashwiny Iyer project. No names have been mentioned yet so the suspense on the cameo remains intact. Interestingly, this is becoming a norm for Wunderbar films, whose last production, Kaaka Muttai, had a guest appearence from none other than Little Superstar Simbu. Currently the cast and crew are busy shooting some crucial scenes of the movie in Chennai film city. Since, it is a story based around a household, a traditional house like setup has been made where most of the sequences are being shot. We await with bated breath to see who will be playing the special role in Amma Kanakku.
