Vevo certifies Shakira’s ‘Te Aviso, Te Anuncio’ video
Colombian superstar Shakira announced that the music video of her hit Te Aviso, Te Anuncio has over 100 million views on her Vevo channel. It’s Shakira’s 12th certified video so far. Last month, Shakira’s Vevo channel reached a milestone of 6 billion video views overall.

Miguel Bose’s MTV Unplugged is ready
Last week, Spanish singer Miguel Bose recorded his first MTV Unplugged. The special was filmed at Azteca Digital studios in Mexico City and has different music collaborations from the likes of Pablo Alborán, Juanes, Sasha Sokol, Natalia Lafourcade, Marco Antonio Solís, Ximena Sariñana, Alex González and Sergio Vallín of Maná, Benny Ibarra and Fonseca. Jennifer Lopez partners with NBCUniversal/Telemundo
On Tuesday, Telemundo announced its new partnership with Jennifer Lopez. Lopez will embark on several projects with the network, including performing at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards. To celebrate the partnership, the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer performed in a private event by NBCUniversal/Telemundo exclusively for the network’s advertising clients. Lopez is also has a lead role in NBC series Shades of Blue.
Pianist Arthur Hanlon and Orange Is the New Black’s Jackie Cruz performed together in New York
Arthur Hanlon kicked off a series of intimate concerts in celebration of his latest CD/DVD premiere titled Viajero on Wednesday at Highline Ballroom in New York City, where he had a special guest: Jackie Cruz (from Orange Is the New Black). Daddy Yankee‘s ‘Shaky Shaky’ becomes global trend
Daddy Yankee‘s latest hit “Shaky Shaky” became a global trending topic on the musical.ly app where, in less than 12 hours it generated over 10,000 videos from users doing their own Shaky Shaky using the hashtag #ShakyShaky. The track is topping Spotify’s Bailando Reggaeton and Viva Latino lists, which are among the top 1- most-listened to playlists for the service.
Kany Garcia‘s ‘Limonada’ is out
Puerto Rican singer/composer Kany Garcia released her latest album Limonada (Lemonade). The set includes 11 tracks produced by David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Lana Del Rey) who also turned over a new leaf, making this his first-ever Spanish-language record. The album reflects the sensibility behind the phrase “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” The album title, coincidentally, is Spanish for Lemonade, the title of Beyonce‘s set. Garcia says she’s proud she and Bey share similar thoughts.
