Get a good look at Shakira's amazing body while you still can, because she's about to lose her wasp waist to the benefit of a baby bump, as it's just been announced that she's expecting for a second time with her partner, footballer Gerard Pique.

The couple are already the proud parents of a one-year-old son, Milan, but from the looks of things, they were eager to give him a little sibling to play with. There was already some speculation that Shakira was getting ready to become a mother again, which was only made strong by the fact that she toned down her belly dancing moves at the World Cup closing ceremony a couple of weeks ago.

Now, a close family friend, Colombian singer Carlos Vives, has made the announcement during a press conference where he told an astounded audience: “Yes, she is pregnant and she's very happy.”

The 37-year-old singer has recently been busy touring the world, promoting her latest album, which is why she was invited to perform at the World Cup, seeing as how she was the main singer at the previous edition of the football championship.

In fact, she met her current boyfriend, Pique, when filming for the video of the song “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” which was the official anthem for the 2010 World Cup, so it's safe to say that Shakira has a healthy love for football.

Shakira has said in previous interviews that she always wanted a large family, and from the looks of things, she's started working on that, with the aid of Pique, which is said to be excited at becoming a father all over again.

She also made jokes about Pique being territorial and forbidding her from featuring strange men in her videos. Later, after the press started making comments and wild allegations, she explained that she was merely joking and Pique had told her to “keep my pretty mouth shut.”

The Latin hitmaker is currently enjoying a huge wave of popularity. Her Facebook profile has recently hit the 100 million followers mark, putting her ahead of other big names in the music industry, such as Eminem or Rihanna.

Currently, the information about Shakira's new pregnancy is sketchy, and apart from the statement from Carlos Vives, there is little to go on, since there is no official confirmation. But it's safe to assume the Colombian singer is going to be put on baby bump watch effective immediately.
