The 32-year-old techie returned home to Coimbatore from the US to meet his soon-to-be wife. He died when he rammed his bike into a temporary illegal hoarding on the road. He fell from his bike when the truck ran over him.

According to a media report, Ragupathi was not wearing a helmet. The structure that Ragupathi crashed into took up space on both the sides of the road. The police said that the techie was thrown off the two-wheeler when it hit an extension of the hoarding.

STALIN, AIADMK AND A PETITION

Stalin spoke to the family and assured the members that his party would stand by them.

"DMK has already moved a petition in the Madras High Court seeking removal of all hoardings and illegal boards. I have ordered DMK cadre not to put up flex boards and cut outs," Stalin said.

Stalin directly blamed AIADMK for the tragic death of Ragupathi. "AIADMK is definitely responsible for this act," Stalin added.

"WHO KILLED RAGU"

After Ragupathi's death, social media was abuzz with anger. Someone even painted "Who Killed Ragu?" where the techie died.
