In an exclusive interview to the Wall Street Journal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi backed his government policies, claiming he had "undertaken the maximum reforms". The PM spoke to the paper on the eve of the anniversary of his swearing-in.

The Modi administration will complete two years in office today and the government has already unleashed a publicity blitzkrieg to celebrate it.

A mega event is expected to take place at India Gate for which a massive podium is being constructed. This celebrations will not be limited to the just the capital. Apart from Delhi, functions will be hosted in six other places - Shillong, Mumbai, Vijayawada, Jaipur, Karnal and Ahmedabad. In all these 5-hour functions, Cabinet ministers accompanied by their MoS will be present.

The interview comes ahead of Modi's visit to Washington early next month, where he is expected to meet President Barack Obama and address a joint session of the US Congress.
