With this announcement, the film inches closer to Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots, (3 idiots life time box office in Japan is JPY170,000,000 i.e approx US $ 1.6 million).

With an overwhelming response from the audiences and theatres packed to capacity, the film released in another 17 odd screens additionally, taking the total screen count to 50 in across 20 cities in Japan.
