KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has congratulated Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah, chief justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) on the safe recovery of his son, Awais Shah, from the kidnappers and appreciated the security agencies involved in the recovery operation. According to a press statement issued, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stressed that the facilitators of the kidnappers should be located and punished who transported the victim from Karachi to Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province covering 1,100 kilometres long distance without any hindrances or obstacles in the route. The PPP chairman said that recovery of Awais Shah without any harm showed the professionalism of the law enforcing agencies as three terrorists were killed in the operation. Meanwhile, Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister for Information and Archives, Moula Bux Chandio on Tuesday hailed security forces for safely recovering Awais Shah, the son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and termed it a great success. According to a statement issued, the adviser congratulated SHC CJ Sajjad Ali Shah on the safe recovery of his son near Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He said that operation against terrorists would continue with full might and no one would be allowed to play with the life of people. “The operation in Karachi is also being continued and terrorists are now on run. Sindh Police is fully capable to eradicate crimes from Karachi and other parts of the province,” he said. Chandio congratulated Sindh government on the recovery of the SHC CJ’s son and said that we are committed to restore peace in Karachi so the business and investment rise. He said that we respect security forces for their bold acts and appreciate their act of recovering Awais Shah. The adviser said that Sindh government is making hectic efforts to provide peaceful atmosphere to the people of the province, especially Karachi where operation against terrorists and criminals is going on. Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan; therefore, it needs durable peace for business and trade activities, he added. “People from all provinces come to Karachi for generating their livelihood; therefore, everyone in the city wants peace and economic stability. Karachi also contributes major revenue to the country’s budget; therefore, it also need more share from its national income,” Chandio said. He said that Sindh government is committed to protect lawyers’ community in the province and will leave no stone unturned for their security. “People need justice and it would be possible when lawyers are provided full security,” he added. Chandio said that a handful of people want to destroy the peace of Karachi, which will not be tolerated at any cost adding that terrorists are the enemies of people and country, and they will never succeed in their nefarious designs. He said, “Sindh government has restored peace in Karachi by rendering immense sacrifices. We also appreciate army for its bold action against terrorists and anti-state elements in the country.” Chandio asked people to cooperate with police and law enforcement agencies for their actions against terrorists and criminals. The people are actual power and they could bring peace to the country by cooperating with law enforcement agencies (LEAs), he maintained.
