Tributes paid to soldier killed in Keran sector

SRINAGAR: The Army today paid tributes to Naik Anup Kumar Thapa, who was killed on Saturday while foiling an infiltration bid by militants in the Keran sector.

The Army today paid tributes to Naik Anup Kumar Thapa, who was killed on Saturday while foiling an infiltration bid by militants in the Keran sector.

“In a solemn ceremony at Badami Bagh Cantt, Srinagar, Lt Gen Satish Dua, the Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks of Chinar Corps paid homage to the patriot,” the Army said.

Thapa was part of unit’s Specialist Operational Team that intercepted a group of militants at LoC. —TNS
