A child may wish to follow in the footsteps of his famous parent, or maybe even chart his own path. Zoravar Gill, elder son of Ravneet Gill, MD of Deutsche Bank (India), has chosen an unconventional route. Foregoing the corporate corridors, he's opted for a stint with the government.

Zoravar is currently working with the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis' office as an associate (strategic projects). He's involved with the Mumbai Next project, a government initiative to transform the city into a global financial and entertainment centre.

An alumnus of St Stephen's College in New Delhi, Zoravar has done internships with Standard Chartered and Deutsche Bank. He has also worked with consultancy firm AT Kearney previously.

Beyond books and office desks, Zoravar is "passionate about India, cricket and Bollywood", as described in his Twitter profile.

The last one is maybe one area he bonds over with his younger brother Sumer, who recently started interning with entertainment company Eros Now.
